The future of New Jersey’s infrastructure depends on cultivating the next generation of talented, ethical, and well-prepared engineers. By donating to NJPEC’s scholarship fund, you make a direct investment in students who have the drive and capability to lead our industry and New Jersey’s infrastructure forward.
NJPEC’s most notable award, the Sol Seid Memorial Scholarship, honors an outstanding junior-year student with up to $15,000 who is pursuing civil engineering or construction technology at a New Jersey college or university. Your contributions also help provide additional finalist grants when our scholarship fund coffer permits and support the recognition of all nominees—reinforcing a culture that values learning, leadership, and professional integrity.
In addition to awarding scholarships, NJPEC is proud to support special projects and programs that strengthen student engagement in the profession. We partner with and contribute to American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Student Chapters at institutions across the state, including NJIT, Fairleigh Dickinson, Stevens, Rutgers, Princeton, The College of New Jersey, and Rowan University. These collaborations help students connect classroom learning with professional practice while encouraging early involvement in the engineering community.
All donations to the scholarship fund are used exclusively for student awards, recognition, and enrichment activities. Every dollar helps ease the financial burden on students and signals the support of an industry that believes in their potential.
If you or your organization are committed to helping aspiring engineers thrive, we welcome your generosity and partnership. Together, we can empower students to build careers that will shape New Jersey’s infrastructure for decades to come.
