The New Jersey Professional Engineers in Construction (NJPEC) is a nonprofit organization that supports the objectives of the New Jersey Society of Professional Engineers, advances public welfare, and promotes the professional, social and economic interests of our engineer members.

MISSION:
Operating under the Constitution and By-Laws of the NSPE and NJSPE, the NJPEC as a Practice Division / Interest Group will promote and strengthen the public image, professional growth and roles of the engineer whose chosen career path lies in the Construction Industry.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:
NJPEC will focus its efforts on programs supporting the traditional roles of construction engineers in delivering completed infrastructure projects improving the nation’s built environment in balance with the natural one while benefiting the economy, creating jobs and a better Quality of Life for all our citizens. Key Objectives are:
- Promote Infrastructure investment and increasingly cost and time effective project delivery methodologies and related project team building. Sponsor the annual Construction Unity dinner with a target attendance of 300 attendees and presentations by key players representing owners, contractors, consultants, sub and suppliers.
- Provide a robust forum for discussion and action on problems or issues of common interest to engineers employed or engaged in construction project delivery. Sponsorship of three Membership technical meetings annually will be planned. Concurrently pursue approvals of PDH credits for selected technical presentations.
- Assure pursuit of Licensure for engineers in construction is not only encouraged but facilitated by a clear path, including more recognition of jobsite technical experience, including design of temporary works, surveying, scheduling. Encourage coaching by employers and mentoring by P.E.’s and review of applications for license.
- Award Sol Seid Scholarships for Excellence to rising juniors in NJ Universities Civil Engineering and Construction Technologies programs to encourage pursuit of construction engineering careers.
- Continue the annual prestigious Bonhag Awards Dinner recognizing Professional Engineer Leaders in construction as Engineer- Constructor of the year and Leading Construction Executives as Constructor of the Year.
